Refund policy

At Olympia Candle Company, every candle is hand-poured in small batches with care. While we are committed to creating a supportive and positive experience, we know that sometimes a return may be needed. This policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.

1. General Policy

Because our products are handmade, small-batch, and designed for home and personal use, most sales are final. However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will make it right.

2. Return Eligibility

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for eligible items.

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and unburned
  • In original condition
  • In original packaging

Additional return terms:

  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • A 10% restocking fee is deducted from all refunds.
  • No final sale items. (At this time, we do not designate items as final sale.)

3. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can help.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item
  • Photos of the packaging and shipping box

We will replace or correct the issue at no cost to you.

4. How to Start a Return

To begin a return, email us at:

Once approved, you may ship the item back using the carrier of your choice. The return shipping cost is your responsibility. Items returned without authorization cannot be accepted.

5. Refunds

After we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the status.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment, minus:

  • The 10% restocking fee
  • Any outbound shipping charges (if applicable)

Please allow:

  • 3–5 business days for Olympia Candle Company to process the refund
  • Additional time for your bank or card provider to release the credit

6. Non-Returnable Reasons

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Scent preference
  • Items that have been burned or significantly used
  • Items not returned in their original condition
  • Unauthorized returns

7. Exchanges

We only offer exchanges for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. All other situations must be processed as a standard return.

8. Gift Orders

If you received a candle as a gift and it arrived damaged or defective, please contact us with any available order information so we can help.
