Shipping policy

At Olympia Candle Company, we take great care in preparing every order so it arrives safely and brings a little more calm to your day. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how we ship, process, and deliver your candles.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are hand-packed with care.

Processing times are typically:

  • 2–4 business days

This timeframe may be slightly longer during high-volume seasons such as holidays or product launches. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is placed and another as soon as your package is on its way.

2. Shipping Methods & Rates

We currently ship within the United States using trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order weight.

Typical options may include:

  • Standard Shipping (approximately 3–7 business days in transit)
  • Expedited Shipping (approximately 2–3 business days in transit, when available)

We do not currently offer overnight shipping due to the fragile, heat-sensitive nature of candle products.

3. Free Shipping on Orders $75+

We offer free standard shipping on all U.S. orders of $75 or more.

The free shipping threshold is applied automatically at checkout—no code needed. Because candles are heavier items, this is our way of making it easier for you to stock up on your favorites, build a calming routine, or try new scents without additional shipping costs.

4. Shipping to Warm Weather States

Candles are sensitive to heat, especially during warmer months. To help protect your order in transit, we may:

  • Use additional packaging or protective materials,
  • Adjust shipping schedules to avoid weekend holds, and
  • Ship earlier in the week when possible.

If extreme heat may impact your delivery, we’ll do our best to communicate timing and recommendations clearly.

5. Tracking Your Order

Once your package ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking activity to begin updating. If your tracking number has not updated after 48 hours, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help.

6. Delivery Issues

6.1 Lost, Stolen, or Misdelivered Packages

Once a package has been marked as delivered by the carrier, Olympia Candle Company cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

However, we never want you to feel unsupported. If something goes wrong with your delivery, please email us at support@olympiacandles.com and we will do our best to help you find a solution.

6.2 Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To help us quickly resolve the issue, include:

  • Your order number,
  • Photos of the damaged item(s), and
  • Photos of the shipping box and packaging, if possible.

We’re happy to arrange a replacement or other appropriate resolution.

7. Preorders & Launch-Day Orders

During special releases or launch events, shipping times may be slightly extended due to higher order volume.

We’ll always communicate timeframes as clearly as possible so you know when to expect your package.

8. Wrong Address Disclaimer

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses.

If an incorrect or incomplete address is entered and the package is returned to us, additional shipping fees may apply to resend it.

If you need to correct your address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible at support@olympiacandles.com. Once an order has shipped, we are unable to change the delivery address.

9. Local Delivery or Pickup

At this time, Olympia Candle Company operates as an online-only business and does not offer local delivery or in-person pickup. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and our checkout options accordingly.

10. International Shipping

At this time, we do not ship orders outside of the United States. As we grow, we hope to expand to additional regions and will update this policy when that becomes available.
